Green chemistry has been described as a pivot for achieving sustainable development. As the world continues to grapple with global challenges of health, water, energy, poverty, sanitation etc., it is important that chemists continue to evolve greener techniques and innovations for solving these challenges. The 2024 ACS Regional Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry is therefore aimed at providing a platform for researchers, government practitioners, industrialists among others to present and discuss a wide range of evolving green chemistry strategies and innovations aimed at achieving sustainable development.
